Helen Meredith 1861

Daniel Meredith (2C4R)

On March 15, 1858 Daniel married Margaretta Lane, in West Chester, Pa. by Rev. M. D. Kurtz.

They had the following children:
Helen B. (3C3R), born on November 26, 1861 in West Whiteland township, Pa. Helen B. died in West Sadsbury Township, Pa. on February 12, 1950, age 88, and was buried on February 15, 1950 in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville, Pa. Religion: Member Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church. Religion: Member Olivet Methodist Church, Coateville, Pa.

Miss Helen B. Meredith died at her home in West Sadsbury Township yesterday in her 89th year. She had been ill for a considerable time. Miss Meredith was born in West Whiteland Township on November 26, 1861, and she had lived all her life in Chester County. For many years she was a member of Olivet Methodist Church, in Coatesville but after moving to West Sadsbury township she became affiliated with Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church. Surviving her are three brothers and three sisters, Francis Meredith, and Miss Alice and Miss Grace Meredith, with whom she made her home; D. Henry Meredith, of Lansdale; Arthur Meredith, of West Chester, and Mrs. Edna M. Powell, of Coatesville. Coatesville Record. 2/18/1950.

Meredith -- Of West Sadsbury Township, Pa., on Sunday, February 12, 1950, Helen B., daughter of the late Daniel and Margaretta Meredith, in her 89th year. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, February 15, at 2 p. m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville. Francis C. (3C3R) was born in 1864 and died in West Sadsbury township, Pa. on November 21, 1954, he was 90. He resided in West Sadsbury township, Pa. in 1954.6

Francis C. Meredith, of West Sadsbury twp., died at his late home yesterday morning. Son of the late Daniel and Margaret Lane Meredith, he was born in West Whiteland twp. Mr. Meredith was in his 90th year. A farmer by occupation, he had been retired for a number of years. He had resided in West Sadsbury twp. for the past 22 years. He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Miss Alice C. Meredith, at home; Mrs. Edna Powell, Coatesville; D. Henry Meredith, Lansdale; Arthur G. Meredith, West Chester. Arthur G. (3C3R), who resided in 515 South High St. West Chester, Pa. in 1954. He was born on Mar ch 31,1880 and died on 20 December 20, 1966, he was 86. He was buried in Friends Burial Society Cemetery. Occupation: Telegraph Operator. Arthur G. married a Katherine H..

Edna (3C3R), who resided in Coatesville, Pa. in 1954. Edna married a Powell.

Alice C. (3C3R), who resided in West Sadsbury township, Pa. in 1945.

Grace A. (3C3R) Grace A. died on February 24, 1954 in Coatesville Hospital, Coatesville, Pa. She resided in West Sadsbury township, Pa. in 1954. Occupation: Teacher in the public school system, followed by the nursing profession. Religion: Member of the Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church.

Miss Grace A. Meredith, West Sadsbury township, died yesterday in Coatesville Hospital. A daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret Lane Meredith, she was a teacher in the public schools, and later followed the nursing profession, but had been retired several years. She was a member of Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church. Surviving are these brothers and sisters -- Francis M., and Alice C. Meredith, both at home; D. H. Meredith, North Wales; Mrs. Edna M. Powell, Coatesville; and G. Arthur Meredith, West Chester. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at the Wilde funeral home, Parkesburg, with interment in Fairview cemetery, Coatesville. Coatesville record. 2/25/1954.
