James Sellers Carpenter (1C3R) was born on April 7, 1852 in Thompsontown, Delaware Township, Juniata Co., Pa. James Sellers died in Caln Township, Chester County, Pa. on April 23, 1928, he was 76. He was buried on April 27, 1928 in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville, Pa. He resided in Caln Township, Chester County, Pa. in 1928. Occupation: Blacksmith and Farmer. Religion: Lifelong member of Thorndale Methodist Church.
On February 12, 1880, when James Sellers was 27, he married Eva Matilda Nethery, daughter of Wilson Nethery and Sarah Docherty, in M. E. Parsonage, Coatesville, Pa. by Rev. C. C. McLean. Buried in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville, Pa.

Sarah Jane (2C2R) Born on November 23, 1884, Sarah Jane died on January 18, 1905, she was 20. She was buried in 1905 in Fairview Cementary, Coatesville, Pa.

Ida L. (2C2R) Born in 1891, Ida L. died in infancy.
