Stray Cow Was taken up trespassing on the enclosure of the subscriber, on the 7th of August, 1830, a pale red Cow and Calf; she has spots of white on her flank and legs, her near horn appears as a shell had come off, supposed to be eight years old. The owner is requested to come, prove property, pay costs, and charges and take them away, otherwise they will be sold according to law. John Meredith. West-Whiteland, Sept. 1, 1830. Valley Review 9/1/1830.

(Apparently there is information of John Meredith being married to Hannah Singuett and having children named John, George, Isaac, Margaret and Ann. It is possible that despite the name and dates, these are two different John Merediths. It is also possible John married two women both named Hanna(h). It is also possible that Hannah was married twice, either to Singuett or to Nields before marrying John. The children names given under both Hanna(h)'s are common in this line. I decided to use Hanna Nields. LEM)
