I have this and other material tracing the Downing Family far back into history and their connections to many of the founders and famous names of United States History, including John Aldon, the Adams
and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Since we are related to these people only by the marriages of Helen and Clara Downing Wilson, I have not included most of that data, but only that showing the connection of my uncles Herford and Ellsworth Downing to the founder of Downingtown.
