Esther Wilson was my maternal grandmother. She was born on June 11, 1899. Esther died in Phoenixville Hospital, Pennsylvania on January 8, 1987, she was 87. She was buried in the Grove Methodist Churchyard, Grove, Pennsylvania. She resided alongside Route 100, Bucktown, Pa. in 1987. (The photo on the left was taken Christmas Day 1911 when she was 12. The photo on the right is Esther in 1905.
She grew up on the family farm in Anselma, Pa. and
was residence there at least through 1916. Religion: Methodist Member of Bethel Methodist Church, Spring City, Pa. She was named for her Grandmother: Esther Helen Bicking.
On 20 Feb 1920, when Esther was 20, she married Francis Fizz Brown II, a son of Millard C. Brown Sr. & Sara Ann Smiley. (The photo of my grandparents on the right was taken in Whitford in 1920.
They had one child:
