Mildred Marie Wilson 1922

Mildred Marie WILSON (1C1R) was born on September 11, 1922. On June 24, 1950, when Mildred Marie was 27, she married Carmen LaFreeda. Born on February 12, 1917, Carmen died in Phoenixville, Pa. on June 13, 1999, he was 82. He was buried on June 17, 1999 in St. Paul's Churchyard, Lionsville, Pa.

Mildred and my mother have been close their whole lives. Milly Wilson served as maid-of-Honor at my mother and father's wedding. She currently lives in Phoenixville. Carmen was a quite man. He seldom said anything, just sat and smiled.

They had one child:

Terry Lee, 2nd Cousin. Born on October 3, 1952, Terry Lee died on October 3, 1952 and was buried in St. Paul's Churchyard, Lionsville, Pa.

I was 11 years old when Milly lost their only child. I remember being at my Aunt Edna's farm house that night. It was scary to my mind. No one would tell me anything that was going on and everyone around was either crying or speaking in whispers. I don't know the circumstances, but Milly didn't attempt to have any more children. I do recall that what added to the sadness was she had a nursery all prepared and furnished. I believe I saw the room, but perhaps I only heard it spoke of and saw it in the nightmares I had right afterward.
