Mary Susanna Carpenter (2C2R) was born on April 11, 1865 in Downingtown, Chester County, Pa. She died in Kansas City, Jackson County, MO. on March 25, 1932, she was 66. On August 5, 1884, when Mary Susanna was 19, she married Millard Fillmore Leslie, in Sterling, Rice County, KS.
They had the following children:
Leonora (3C1R), born on August 19, 1885 in Nickerson, Reno County, KS.. Leonora died in Merriam, Johnson County, KS on November 20, 1965, she was 80. On January 25, 1903, when Leonora was 17, she married John Napoleon Ballentine, in Kansas City, Jackson County, MO.
Lydia (3C1R), born in March 1888 in Nickerson, Reno County, KS. and died in Kansas City, Jackson County, MO. Lydia married George Grothus.
Mary Dorcas (3C1R) was born on October 25, 1891.
