First Generation
Lord Lawrence Townley, my sixth great grandfather was born in Burnley, England. He also died in Burnley and resided in Townley Castle, Burnley around 1690.
The castle was reportedly built in 1100 AD.
William, who died in 1751.
Mary, who married a Joseph Lawrence against the Lord's wishes and came to America.
Seeking info on Margaret Elizabeth BREAST. Born probably 1820s and died probably 1870s/80s, in Nashville. Married Olive Salle LeSueur about 1850. Believe her parents to be Clement Breast and Margaretta Flood. Family legend says Margaretta was granddaughter or g- granddaughter of wealthy Scotish earl, Lord Townley, whose daughter married against his wishes a Mr. Lawrence, and came to America. Am seeking any information on the Breast, Flood, Lawrence or Townley lines. Contact me at: 68 Log Cabin Lane, Buena Vista, VA 24416 or via e-mail. Pete Hamilton
